1-29 Closed from Watertown to Grand Forks, North Dakota

The South Dakota Departments of Transportation and Public Safety are advising motorists that portions of Interstates 29 is closed- northbound and southbound (Tuesday November 25) due to extremely poor travel conditions from Watertown (exit 77) to Grand Forks, North Dakota.
The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Grant County and Big Stone and Traverse Counties in Minnesota until midnight.There is No Travel advised in Grant County until further notice.
Snow and wind today have already made travel conditions hazardous in many locations. Drifting is expected with high winds. Additional snow accumulation between 4 and 6 inches are expected. Winds will be increasing to 40-60 mph until 7am Wednesday November 26.
The City of Milbank has issued a Snow Alert beginning at 2:00 am Wednesday, November 26. Remove all vehicles from the street. Those left will be ticketed after 2:00 am.
