Local News December 3, 2025 Staff 0

Giving Tuesday – a day of unselfish giving around the globe –occurs annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving/Cyber Monday and encourages donating to charities and volunteering time or resources. Don’t worry if you missed it. There’s still time to do your part.
Jan Scriver – State Farm Insurance in Milbank made sure to include the 2025 Grant County Combined Appeal campaign on his list of donations this season. Jan Scriver-State Farm presented a $1000 check to Combined Appeal –a charity he has admired and supported for nearly 25 years. One of the special things about a Grant County Combined Appeal donation is that 100 percent of the money stays right here in Grant County.
Scriver said, “We’ve always felt that Combined Appeal is so important to the community and is such a well-run organization that we made it our priority to contribute from day one, when we moved to town in 2002.”
Jolene Rick, fundraising chair for Combined Appeal said, “Donations are very much appreciated and critical to the Grant County area.”
