MHS student members of Educators Rising used Pop Day to raise over $200 for the Bulldog Den.
If you aren’t familiar with Pop Day, it’s a day between sports seasons when students open the concession stand to sell any soda before it expires. That way, fans always know their pop is fresh. The organization or group that handles the clearance sales gets the proceeds for their club.
If you aren’t familiar with the Bulldog Den, it’s a place in the guidance counselors’ office where students in middle and high school can get clothing, hygiene products, and food when they are short on something at home. No questions are asked, and it has been completely funded by donations from the community.

Nicci Stengel, adviser for Educators Rising said, “ We chose to do Pop Day as a service project and donate the proceeds to the Bulldog Den –$209 was raised. We try to do one service project a month, and we will be making valentines for shut-ins in February.”
Educators Rising students involved in the projects:
Seniors: Yanderyn Olivares Zuniga, Keira Steffen, Kalli Moser, Bray Bowsher, Ryan Keeton, and Dana Chan; sophomore Miriam Chavez; and freshman William Kill.
