Bowsher, Owen, and Tostenson Commit to Play Football

Three Milbank senior football players – Braylen Bowsher, Ethan Owen, and Micah Tostenson – have made commitments to play football next fall. National Signing Day on February 4 marked the opening of the final signing period. Signing Day also signifies the culmination of the recruitment process for high school athletes, who usually ink binding letters of intent and solidify their financial agreements.
Braylen Bowsher will attend the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota, He committed to playing cornerback for the Jimmies. As a 5’ 11’,and 175-lb. quarterback for the 2025 Bulldogs, Bowsher threw for over 1,200 yards with nine touchdowns. He ran for another 10 touchdowns and also made three interceptions and 25 tackles. Bowsher was chosen as an all-state honorable mention player for 2025.

Dakota Wesleyan University announced they had secured a decision from Ethan Owen to play as a linebacker for the Tigers. Last fall as a Bulldog,Owen moved from fullback to guard early in the season. At 6’ and 203 lbs, he also recorded 55 tackles.
Micah Tostenson at 6’ 1’ and 190-lbs. officially signed to be an edge with the Valley City State University Vikings. During the Bulldogs 2025 season, Tostenson claimed 34 tackles and six sacks.
College coaches are not permitted to be present at high school signing ceremonies.
Mick Thompson, head coach for the Bulldogs, recalled one of the highlights of Milbank’s 2025 season as “beating a good West Central squad for the first time in over two decades”.
He also congratulated Bowsher, Owen, and Tostenson on their plans. “Good luck in your future roles, gentlemen. We are so very proud of you and your efforts. You deserve it!”
