The Bulldogs basketball program hosted an end-of-season banquet on Tuesday, March 24. Milbank Head Coach Logan Diede said, “It was a great opportunity to reflect on a memorable year across our C, JV, and varsity teams. It’s always special to come together to celebrate the growth of our players, recognize their accomplishments, and hand out team awards.”

Diede also offered a statistic regarding the Bulldogs basketball program history: “We have won 55 games the past four seasons at the varsity level. That is the most wins in a four-year stretch for Milbank Boys Basketball since the 2004-2008 seasons.”

We are lucky to have that opportunity each year.”

The coach also thanked his assistant coaches, players, managers, and statisticians for the time, effort, and dedication they gave to our program throughout the season. “Their commitment is what makes everything we do possible, and it  is so greatly appreciated! Another big thank you to my assistant coaches’ wives and families and to my wife for allowing us the big amount of time spent away from home to continue to pursue this passion of coaching.”

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from the Milbank School District, our administration, student body, cheerleaders, and the entire community. A special thank you goes out to our custodial staff for their hard work behind the scenes, as well as the local newspapers and radio stations for their coverage and support of our team.“

He also thanked Spencer from Big Stone Therapies for the care and assistance he provided our athletes all season long. “We are lucky to have Spencer making sure our athletes are staying healthy or working toward getting healthy.”

Diede concluded with, “It truly takes a full team behind the scenes to make a basketball season successful, and we are very thankful for everyone who plays a role in supporting our program. Can’t wait until next season and as always, it is a GREAT day to be a Bulldog!”
