Homans and Sime Named Grand Champion at Q Fest

The annual Q-Fest BBQ competition was held during Farley Fest 2026 in Milbank on Saturday, June 20. Five teams vied for the title of pitmaster and divided the $3900 prize money. 

Winners:

Grand Champion: Red Ring BBQ – (l. to r.) Nick Sime, Quint Homan, and Clint Homan –  $950 Prize 
People’s Choice: Fernando’s Rib Co. –  $250 Prize

Pork Ribs:
First  Place –  Fernando’s Rib Co –$400 Prize
Second Place –  Clean Money BBQ – $300 Prize
Third Place –  Red Ring BBQ – $200 Prize

Pork Butt:
First Place –  Red Ring BBQ –  $400 Prize
Second Place – Smoky & His Bandits  – $300 Prize
Third Place –  Fernando’s Rib Co  –$200 Prize

Beef Brisket:
First Prize –  Red Ring BBQ –  $400 Prize
Second Prize –  Fernando’s Rib Co – $300 Prize
