Sharon Wellnitz Receives State VFW Award

Sharon Wellnitz of Milbank was presented the Susie Radigan Award during the 2016 VFW State Convention in Deadwood June 9-12.

This was the second consecutive year she earned the award. She received the award in recognition of her service as an outstanding district president. “I am honored to receive this award two years in a row,” Wellnitz said.

Myrna Bell also received an award at the convention. She was named an outstanding auxiliary president at the local level.
Ninety-eight auxiliary and 89 post members attended the three-day convention. Members enjoyed informative speakers, administrative business meetings, an installation of officers, awards presentations, and social events.
