Football Preview: Dawgs to Take On Falcons In Football Playoffs

The Milbank Area Bulldogs will face the Todd County Falcons in the quarterfinal round of the Class 11A high school football playoffs Thursday, October 26. The game will be played in Mission with kickoff set for 6 p.m. CST.

The Dawgs, under head coach Jeremy Tostenson, have advanced to the playoffs in 15 of the last 16 years. The last time Milbank won their first round playoff game was in 2009, the same year the Bulldogs captured the Class 11A title.

Milbank Area will take a 6-3 record into the matchup. Todd County sits at 7-2 on the season. “They have overall good speed with an explosive running back,” noted Tostenson. “We cannot give up any big plays. We also need to win the turnover battle and control the clock by running the football.”
The Bulldogs are looking forward to the opportunity and have their sights set high. “The guys have an opportunity to win,” said Coach T.
