Laura (Montag) Dean Celebrates 1st Anniversary with EXIT Realty

Laura Dean might be celebrating her one year anniversary as a real estate agent for EXIT Realty Leading Edge in Milbank, but she is no stranger to Milbank. Laura grew up as Laura Montag in Milbank and graduated from MHS in 1999. She attended school to be a histology technician and worked for a private laboratory in Rapid City for 17 years.

Last April, she and her husband, Jeremy, and their four children moved from Hill City- a small town in the Black Hills- to Milbank, and Laura couldn’t be happier about the decision. She said, “We felt the pull to move back to spend more time with my family – the Montags. My mom, brothers, and sisters live here, and it’s so nice to have our kids growing up with their cousins.”

Laura said they spent the past year getting settled – catching up with old friends, fixing up their home, spending time with the family, and taking the kids to sports. Lots of sports!

She said, “I sold real estate in the Black Hills for two years and had obtained my real estate license through the EXIT Realty office in Rapid City, so the transfer to Milbank was easy. Real estate provides me with lots of things working in the lab didn’t. I spend more time with people – getting to know them and helping them find their perfect home. Somedays, I’m in the country or even at the lake helping people find a cabin. It’s so much fun to be a part of making people’s dreams come true.”
