The MHS Band competed in the 2018 Hobo Day Parade on Saturday, September 13. Keaton Hagen, Ben Harstad and Landon Brown were selected as Outstanding Drum Majors. The MHS Colorguard consisting of Jaden Hoeke, Elisabeth Schwenn, Abby Weber, Mackenzie Weinkauf, Amy Nelson, Makenna Osowski, Rhianna Welberg, Emma DeBoer, and Jenna Johnson were honored as the Outstanding Colorguard entry. The colorguard is under the direction of Kristi Seehafer. 

The Milbank Middle School seventh and eighth grade band competed in the Lake Region Marching Band Festival in Groton on Friday, October 12. The Milbank Middle School earned the second place award. Aberdeen Simmons/Holgate received first place. Watertown Middle School also participated.  The Milbank Middle and High School bands completed their marching seasons. The band students are instructed by Susan Karels, MS/HS Band Director.
