Milbank Educational Foundation Awards $179,000 in Scholarships

The Milbank High School Educational Foundation announced the 2019 scholarship winners at a banquet held at the American Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 2. This year $179,00 was awarded, bringing the total amount disbursed since 1986 to approximately $2,550,400.

The $26,000 David J. Engebretson Family scholarships, awarded at $6,500 per year for four years, went to Hope Osborn and Nathan Loutsch. The $9400 Patridge/Brisco Scholarships, awarded at $4700 per year for two years, went to Taylor Thue, Nolan Hanson, and Elisabeth Schwenn.

The $2500 Les Bloem Scholarship was given to Jaden Hoeke, and the $2500 Ralph and Mary Scott Scholarship went to Kellie Christians. Katie Wollschlager was chosen for the $2500 Doug and Linda Buri Student Selection Scholarship.
