The South Dakota State Medical Association Foundation recognized its 2019 USD Sanford School of Medicine scholarship winners at the SDSMA annual conference on May 31. Katelyn Loutsch Steinlicht of Milbank was selected as a recipient of the J. Michael McMillin Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshman medical students from South Dakota and is renewable each year for four years. Luke Smith of Groton and Matthew Bell of Sioux Falls also received J. Michael McMillin scholarships.
SDSMAF scholarship recipients who attended the SDSMA banquet included: Ethan Leif, Ethan Pauley, Avery Olson, Travis Moodie, Luke Smith, Katelyn Loutsch Steinlicht, and John Fanta.
