Tuchscherer Named To All-Shanley Debate Team

Senior Rebekah Tuchscherer led the Milbank debate team at the 22nd Annual Shanley Debate Tornament in Fargo, ND, Friday, January 8, where she was named to the All-Shanley Team.

Tuchscherer earned a medal which honored her for team leadership. The award recipients were nominated by their coaches and voted on by the tab room. Rebekah also was one spot away from entering the quarterfinal round in Division I Lincoln-Douglas debate.

Freshmen Cat Rego and Nathan Loutsch qualified for the quarterfinal round in Division III (novice) of Public Forum Debate while Junior Connor Lightfield earned the top spot in Division I (varsity) Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Macie Redmond and Brianna Schreurs were each one spot away from the quarterfinals in Division I Public Forum.

Also competing in the event for Milbank were Kimberlly Aburto and Kadon Leddy.
