Children Get Set For Kindergarten Registration

Calling all five-year-olds! It’s time to sign up for school! The Milbank School District has scheduled its kindergarten screening for Friday, January 29, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Koch Elementary School.

The screening is for any child who will be five years of age before September 1, 2016. Children will participate in a kindergarten assessment, visit with the school nurse to complete a brief health assessment and review immunization records and assess each child’s speech with the speech therapist. The screening will take between one to one and one-half hours to complete. Families are asked to bring the child’s certified birth certificate

Children will register according to the following schedule by last name:

A-B     8-9 a.m.

C-F      9-10 a.m.

G-J      10-11 a.m.

K-L     11-12 p.m.

M-R     12-1 p.m.

S          1-2 p.m.

T-Z      2-3 p.m.
