chief_vanvoorenThe Milbank Police Department and Police Chief Boyd VanVooren announce an update on the stolen vehicle case that was reported earlier this week. A suspect was apprehended Thursday, January 21, after numerous calls and tips were received following the publishing of the report on The Valley Express.

The suspect was arrested at a residence in Big Stone City and taken into custody by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Milbank Police Department and the Big Stone City Police Department.

The suspect is currently being held in the Grant County Detention Center on a warrant for grand theft auto. The suspect is also being held on a warrant for drug charges in Grant County with his bond set at $20,000 cash.

“Local law enforcement would like to thank the public for the help in this investigation,” stated VanVooren. “It is great when we can work together with the public to help fight crime.”
