Annual Township Meetings Scheduled For March 1

The citizens of the following townships in Grant County, who are qualified to vote at township elections, are hereby notified that the annual meeting for each township will be held Tuesday, March 1, at the time stated below. The purpose of the township meeting is to elect one supervisor for a three-year term, one township clerk and one treasurer, each for a one-year term, and to do any other business proper to be done at these meetings. In case of inclement weather, the annual township meetings will be rescheduled for the following Tuesday at the same location and time.

Following are the list of townships with the meeting time and location.
Adams Township – 4 p.m. at the Revillo Community Center
Alban Township – 1 p.m. at the Milbank Airport
Big Stone Township – 1:30 p.m. at the Big Stone Fire Hall
Blooming Valley Township – 1 p.m. at the new township hall
Farmington Township – 3 p.m. at the new township hall
Georgia Township – 2 p.m. at the LaBolt Mini Mall
Grant Center Township – 7 p.m. at the Milbank Visitor Center community room
Kilborn Township – 1 p.m. at the Otter Tail community room
Lura Township – 5 p.m. at the new township hall
Madison Township – 1:30 p.m. at the Eric Anderson residence
Mazeppa Township – 7 p.m. at the Marvin Town Hall
Melrose Township – 7 p.m. at the Otter Tail community room
Osceola Township – 1:30 p.m. at the Marvin Town Hall
Stockholm Township – 2 p.m. at Alice’s Restaurant
Troy Township – 7 p.m. at the Kevin Dahlgren residence
Twin Brooks Township – 1 p.m. at the Twin Brooks Community Center
Vernon Township – 10 a.m. at the Revillo Community Center

There will also be a meeting of the Grant County Association of Towns and Townships on Thursday, February 25, at 1 p.m. at the Grant County Courthouse Community Room. Any person interested in attending the annual meeting is welcome according to the association president Rodney Thaden.
