Petitions Open For Milbank City Council Position

A one-year term on the Milbank City Council in Ward 2, is open for nominating petitions, according to Mayor Pat Raffety and City Administrator Jason Kettwig. Petitions will be available for circulation beginning today, Tuesday, April 12, and must be filed in the office of the city finance officer by Friday, May 13. The office is located at the Milbank Visitor Center.
The position is currently filled by James Johnson. He was appointed to fill the spot vacated by Evan Grong in July of 2015, who stepped down. Johnson’s appointment was for one year therefore the position is now open for election.
