Fred Deutsch Withdraws from 2016 SD House Race

Dr. Fred Deutsch announced his withdrawal from the 2016 South Dakota District 4 House of Representatives race. Deutsch has served District 4 from 2014-2016. “My wife, Kathleen, has requested I take a break to spend more time with my family and business,” Deutsch stated.

Dr. Deutsch intends to run for election again in the near future. He stated, “It has been my greatest honor to serve you in the state House, and I am deeply humbled and grateful. I hope you will consider allowing me to serve you again in a future election.”

Three candidates remain in the race for the two representative seats. Democrats Matt Rosdahl and Peggy Schuelke and Republican Jason Kettwig will compete for those positions this November.
