Milbank High School Commencement will take place Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at the Milbank High School Armory. Seniors Heidi Bergquist and Chris Loutsch have been selected as class speakers.
The Class of 2016 has chosen a Sunflower as its class flower. The motto for the class is by JK Rowling which reads, “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case you fail by default.”
Class of 2016 honor graduates are Heidi Bergquist, Andrew Mears, Courtney Lusk, Rebekah Tuchscherer, Cara Berkner, Katie Cannedy, Josh Fonder, Rachelle Gabriel, Janette Hall, Tera Hanson, Shelby Hooth, McKala Loehrer, Chris Loutsch, Shauna Pauli, Hannah Rick, Morgan Schmitt, Brianna Schreurs, Isaac Snaza, Mikayla Street, Heidi Thomson, Ellie Webb, Abby Wollschlager, Cody Buttke, Whitney Falk, Dalton Fox, Dalton Koch, Mackayla McKinney, Alysa Peterson, Josh Pillatzki, Bridget Prasnicki, Caleb Seehafer, Devin Stricherz, Ria Teske and Erin Thomson.
The Commencement activities will be presided over by Superintendent Tim Graf. The class will be presented by MHS Principal Dan Snaza. Music will be provided by the MHS instrumental and vocal departments under the direction of Susan Karels and Miriam Schwenn.
