Construction Begins On Fourth Street Milbank

With summer upon us, so is road construction season. The final phase of the Fourth Street reconstruction project is underway in Milbank.
The final section of the street from Highway 12 south to Park Avenue began with the road being ground down into millings, according to project manager Darin Thiele. Work on installing the new 36 inch storm sewer, which will eventually tie in and connect at Park Avenue.

The other major project of the season will be to lay new asphalt along Flynn Drive in front of the new hospital. That area was worked on last summer and this is the final phase of that project as well. Asphalt is expected to be done as early as mid June.
