Progress has been made on the road construction project along Fourth Street from Highway 12 to Park Drive. According to City Administrator Jason Kettwig, the underground work is completed with all pipes installed. “We are waiting for the bacteria water test results to come back,” he explained. “Once that passes, we will turn the regular water back on.”
Additional sub work will be done and filled in with gravel within the next week. “When the gravel has been leveled and packed, we will reopen the road to traffic,” Kettwig said.
Concrete work on the curbs and gutters will be done at the end of July and asphalt laid thereafter. Asphalt for the new hospital road will begin in July.
