The Milbank Area Bulldogs get set to kick off its football season with practice beginning Thursday, August 11, under the direction of head coach Jeremy Tostenson.
Activities will begin with ImPACT testing for grades 9 and 11 at 8 a.m. Players will be issued equipment and lockers at 9 a.m. followed by a team meeting. The team will participate in its Gold Card Blitz from 10 a.m. to noon with its first practice slated from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Following are the remainder of the practice times until school begins Wednesday, August 24:
Friday, August 12: Practice 6-8:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 13: Team and individual photos at 8 a.m. with practice following
Monday, August 15: Practice 6-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 16: Practice 6-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, August 17: Practice 6-8:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 18: Practice 3:30-5:30 p.m.; Mandatory parent/athlete meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, August 19: Public scrimmage at 7 p.m.
Saturday, August 20: Practice 8-10 a.m.
Monday, August 22: Practice 5-7 p.m.
Tuesday, August 23: Practice 5-7 p.m.
Wednesday, August 24: First day of school; practice 3:40-5:45 p.m.
Coach Tostenson reminds all incoming freshmen to purchase their practice packs prior to the start of practice.
Milbank Area will host Flandreau in its opening game of the season Friday, August 26, at 7 p.m. at AB Campbell Stadium.
