Twin Brooks Threshing Show Celebrates 30 Years

The Twin Brooks Threshing Show is celebrating its 30th birthday. Grab your party hat and overalls and head to the threshing grounds five miles west and one and one-half miles north of Milbank, this Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14.
The old-fashioned threshing bee will feature: threshing, a flea market, sawmill, horse demonstrations, corn shelling, potato digging, haymaking, and a country school reenactment. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. both days and the kitchen stays open all weekend. A pork supper will be served from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday.
International is the highlighted tractor this year. The tractor parade is Saturday at 1 p.m. The tractor pull begins at 5 p.m. – registration starts at 4 p.m. The pull is for 1959 and older models. A new class of 1960-1970 up to 8500 out of field class only has been added. The pull is sponsored by Titan Machinery of Milbank.
Sunday’s events include a non-denominational worship service at 9 a.m. At 1 p.m. kids take on the South Dakota sanctioned Pedal Pull. Gesswein Motors of Milbank is the sponsor of the Pedal Pull. The second parade of the weekend starts at 3 p.m.
