_dsc0005-18The Milbank Area Bulldogs will host the Redfield-Doland Pheasants this Friday night in pursuit of a Homecoming ‘W’. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Dawgs are 4-1 on the season; their only loss was to Groton Area in overtime. Redfield-Doland is 2-3 on the season. The Pheasants beat Crow Creek and Sisseton and suffered losses to Aberdeen Roncalli, Groton Area, and Parkston.

Redfield-Doland’s running game will be led by junior running back Cooper Baloun. Bulldog head coach Jeremy Tostenson says Redfield-Doland will be fighting to secure a spot in the playoffs and will bring their best game against Milbank Area.

The Bulldogs will almost be in full force, except for Tanner Gauer. Gauer will require one more week of healing before returning to the lineup. After a solid week of practice, Tostenson says, “We will need to execute and play physical to win this game.”

Friday’s Homecoming festivities begin with the parade at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs Fighting Cancer team hosts a tailgate meal from 5-7 p.m. and will serve a Hardee’s roast beef plate. The Homecoming royalty will be introduced at 6:45, just prior to the football game.
