2016-10-08_17-00-41The MHS oral interp team competed in the second Florence Invitational meet of the season on October 15. Kimberlly Aburto earned superior ratings in both oratory and poetry. Taylor Balling was given a superior plus in poetry. Taylor Balling, Devon Balling, Allison Grear, and Korinne Roggenbuck received a superior in readers’ theatre. Grear and Roggenbuck were also awarded a superior for their duet. Devon Balling earned a superior in storytelling. Caitlin Kroemer took home a superior in serious reading and superior plus in storytelling. Becca Loehrer received a superior plus in serious reading.

The MHS team also took part in the Rough Rider Round-Up on October 8. Taylor Balling took home second place in poetry. She also earned a superior plus with that presentation. The readers’ theatre team earned an excellent plus with their piece Texts From Jane Eyre. Devon Balling was awarded an excellent plus and Caitlin Kroemer earned a superior and advanced to the finals in storytelling. The duet team of Allison Grear and Korinne Roggenbuck earned an excellent plus rating. In oratory, Chase Pinkert and Stewart Loehrer both were awarded a superior. Kimberlly Aburto earned an excellent plus. Becca Loehrer and Caitlin Kroemer both received superior ratings in serious readings.

Milbank hosted a novice meet at Milbank High School on October 11. Nathan Loutsch and Stewart Loehrer each earned a superior ranking.
The next oral interp event is Saturday, October 22. Students will travel to Aberdeen to compete on the campus at Northern State University.
