Milbank Area Travels To Madison For First Round Football Playoffs

The number six-seeded Milbank Area Bulldogs drew the number three-seeded Madison Bulldogs for the first round of the Class 11A football playoffs. The two teams will go head-to-head for a rematch in the final regular season game.

“It’s disheartening to lose the last game of the regular season and then turn around and play the same team in the first round of the playoffs,” noted Milbank Area head coach Jeremy Tostenson. “I’m proud of our effort and how we competed in our last game. Now we just need to regroup for the rematch.”

Milbank Area will travel to Madison Thursday, October 27, for a 7 p.m kickoff. The winner will advance to the semi-finals and the loser will end its season.

In other first round games in Class 11A, #8 West Central will go to #1 Tea Area; #5 Dell Rapids will play at #4 Sioux Falls Christian; and #7 Hot Springs will go to #2 St. Thomas More.
