Speakers Place At Recent Oral Interp Competitions

Milbank High School oral interp students brought home top ratings from two events. At the Northern State University meet on October 22, Caitlin Kroemer won first place in storytelling. She also won a fifth place finish in serious readings. Taylor Balling earned a fourth place award in poetry. The team placed third overall in sweepstakes points in the A division.
At the Brookings Fall Festival on October 24, Joe Harstad earned an excellent in humorous readings and Stewart Loehrer earned an excellent in oratory. Taylor Balling received a superior in poetry. Caitlin Kroemer was awarded a superior in storytelling and also one in serious readings. Becca Loehrer earned a superior plus in serious readings.
Competing at the Northern State University meet are: Ben Harstad, Stewart Loehrer, and Becca Loehrer. Front row, Joe Harstad, Taylor Balling, and Caitlin Kroemer.
