Ben Harstad, Caitlin Kroemer, and Taylor Balling advanced to the 2016 South Dakota Oral Interp meet. The three earned top places at the Region IV meet Tuesday, November 15, in Aberdeen. Kimberlly Aburto will serve as an alternate. The state meet is set for Friday and Saturday, December 2 and December 3, in Harrisburg.
Harstad placed third at the region meet in Humorous Readings. Kroemer placed second in Storytelling and Balling captured first place in Poetry. Alburto earned fourth in Non-Original Oratory.
Becca Loehrer placed fifth in Serious Readings and Korinne Roggenbuck and Allison Grear took fifth in Duet Interpretation. Roggenbuck and Grear also teamed up with Taylor Balling and Devon Balling for their Readers Theater selection “Texts From Jane Eyre.”
