The Milbank Fire Department was dispatched to the south side of the new Milbank Healthcare Campus at 6 p.m. Monday, December 5. According to Fire Chief Kevin Schuelke, a large roll-off container used for construction debris was ablaze.
“Because of the size of the container, firefighters extinguished the fire by running a large-diameter hose to a hydrant,” Schuelke said. “We also took precautions to prevent it from spreading to the new hospital.”
