Bob Olson, an ASE-certified auto technician at Gesswein Motors in Milbank, was selected as the Chrysler/ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year. Olson was chosen as the top Chrysler/ASE tech from over 300,000 professionals nationwide. The annual ASE awards spotlight top scorers on the ASE certification tests and include on-the-job excellence and community service as criteria.
Edward Kay, Manager, Technical Training Development for Chrysler; Mike Durkin, Chairman of the ASE Board of Directors; and Timothy Zilke, ASE President and CEO, presented the award to Olson in Concord, North Carolina. “We are proud to partner with Chrysler to recognize Bob’s commitment to excellence in providing the very best vehicle repair services…Bob represents the best of the best,” Zilke said.
Jim Gesswein, owner of Gesswein Motors, had these comments. “Bob is most deserving of this national award. We are fortunate to have had Bob as a dedicated, loyal, and hardworking employee for 36 years at Gesswein Motors. He keeps himself up to date on the ever-changing technology and always has our customer in mind. Plus, he is super punctual – always at least half an hour early to work, but if a job requires him to stay late or even come in on his weekend off – Bob is here! Besides being a great employee, he is also a dedicated family man and a great friend.”
