Senior Kadon Leddy from MHS finished second in the extemporaneous speaking division at the State FFA Leadership Career Development Event in Pierre. Leddy narrowly missed advancing to the national convention. The extemporaneous speech CDE is designed to develop the ability of members to express themselves on an agricultural-related subject without having prepared or rehearsed its content.
Eighteen students from Milbank High School competed including: Trevor Schmidt, Kimberlly Aburto, Nathan Loutsch, Chase Pinkert, Claire Mischel, Sarah Jarman, Cassidy Christians, Joe Harstad, Tori Hooth, Payton Wendland, Jackson McFaden, Alex Farrell, Kellie Christians, Moritz Wortmann, Tanner Kettwig, Caroline Klettke, and Sara Capp. FFA advisor Jerry Janisch accompanied the students.
