Whetstone Valley Electric Cooperative expects to begin re-energizing their system starting this afternoon. However, to safely restore power, the Cooperative needs the help of its members. Members who are familiar with their breaker panel are asked to please turn off as many breakers as possible. General Manager Dave Page stated, “We ask that this be done as soon as possible to help avoid our system becoming overloaded as we begin restoring power. An overloaded system could cause additional problems and outages.”When members become aware that power has been restored to their property breakers can be turned back on.

When power has been restored to your area, it will be announced on The Valley Express. While crews are making progress on repairs, any change in wind or weather could delay the timeline of power restoration. If delays occur, we will update you as soon as possible.
