_dsc0002-31Clee Brakke will retire following the completion of the 2016-2017 school year. He submitted his resignation to the Milbank School District Board of Education at its regular meeting Monday, January 9.

Brakke graduated from Black Hills State University. He began his teaching career in 1973 in Eagle Butte and came to Milbank in 1978. He taught woodshop and carpentry and showcased his students’ talents during the annual arts show at MHS.

“Mr. Brakke has been a very consistent and dependable staff member for many years,” stated Superintendent Tim Graf. “I have also greatly appreciated the working relationship I have enjoyed with Mr. Brakke in his role as MEA President.”

“It has been an immense pleasure to serve as a teacher with Milbank High School,” Brakke said. “The relationships I have formed over 39 years will not soon be forgotten.”
