Milbank Middle School student Isaac Sousa placed third at the Math Counts competition in Aberdeen on January 11. There were 17 teams competing in the event, including two teams from Milbank.
The Milbank 2 team was comprised of Sousa, Bennett Schwenn, Will Karels, and Zack Ringsaker. They finished ninth with a score of 19.50. The Milbank 1 team included Allison Leddy, Isaac Johnson, Madi Thue, and Shelby Lee. They placed fourteenth with a score of 15.50. Holgate Blue of Aberdeen won the competition with a score of 39.25.
