Top country singer and songwriter, Craig Morgan, has again been selected as the country concert artist for the 2017 Lake Farley Summer Event Series. Morgan takes the stage Saturday, July 22.
The annual event is sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are super excited Craig has agreed to come to Milbank,” stated chamber Events Director Laura Kelly. “He is such a great guy, an excellent musician, and popular in the sportsman arena.”
Morgan was scheduled as the 2016 country concert artist, but his performance was canceled at the last minute when his son, 19-year-old Jerry Greer, was tragically killed in a boating accident. “Craig has been so gracious through his tragedy,” Kelly said. “He even gave Milbank the first choice of concert dates.”
Craig Morgan is a soldier, sheriff’s deputy, EMT, adventurer, TV host, motocross racer, outdoorsman, farmer, and family man and his music ties them all together. His hit Almost Home put him on the map in 2002. His other hits include: Redneck Yacht Club, International Harvester, More Trucks Than Cars, Tough, This Ole Boy, and Little Bit Of Life. He also topped the charts for six weeks with That’s What I Love About Sunday – the most played song in 2005.
