MHS Selected as State Tournament Band of the Day

The Milbank High School band will be the band of the day at the State Class A boys basketball tournament in Sioux Falls on Saturday, March 18. The group will perform for all four sessions of the tournament on Saturday which will be televised on South Dakota Public Television Channel 2.
The MHS band also received this honor at the State Class A boys basketball tournament in Rapid City in 2013 and at the State Class 11A football championship in Vermillion in 2009.
The band departs Saturday morning and returns by midnight. In conjunction with the trip, the band plans to visit Skyzone and the Empire Mall. Students are under the direction of Susan Karels, grade 6-12 band instructor.
