Milbank High School senior Connor Lightfield was one of four seniors in South Dakota to win the Karl E. Mundt Award. The award signifies excellence in Lincoln-Douglas Debate during the state event. Lightfield received his award and plaque during the Northern South Dakota District Student Congress qualifier event in Pierre on April 5. The event was held at the South Dakota State Capitol.
Also representing MHS at the district event were Nathan Loutsch and Kimberlly Aburto. The MHS debate team is coached by Caitlyn Oien.
