The Watertown Police Department, the Milbank Police Department, and Milbank High School used a K9 unit to search the Milbank high school building and parking lot on Thursday, April 6. MHS principal Dan Snaza said, “The dogs check the lockers within the building and the cars in the parking lot.”
Milbank Police Chief Boyd VanVooren stated the search inside the building showed no indications of narcotics by the K9 unit. “However, during the search of the parking lot, the dog did indicate on a couple of vehicles.” Those vehicles were searched and small amounts of drug paraphernalia were found.” The students were taken into custody then released to a parent.
