Kimberlly Aburto, Mallory Trapp, and Kerissa DeBoer placed in the top three at the 5th Annual South Dakota HOSA State Leadership Conference held in Sioux Falls April 6-7. They earned a trip to Orlando, Florida to compete in the National Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Future Health Professionals competition June 21-24 at the Coronado Springs Disney Resort.

“Over 600 students took part in the state competition,” said MHS HOSA advisor Johanna Fischer. Aburto captured first place in Prepared Speaking. Trapp earned the top spot in the Pharmacology Knowledge Test. DeBoer placed third in the Clinical Nursing competition. The top three winners in each category advance to the national competition.
