The advisors for the council are Kathy Sussex and Nancy Paulson.

The Milbank Student Council presented a check of $2,100 to the SDSCA statewide spring Children’s Miracle Network project. By tradition, the SDSCA spring fundraising project is focused on the theme “Kids Helping Other Kids.” The total raised this year at the high school level was over $38,000.

The convention also featured a state-wide community service project. The project made over 70 fleece blankets that will be dispersed throughout the state to women/children shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes.

The convention also included its annual business meeting of the SDSCA with the election of state and region officers. Sophia Seffrood was chosen to be Milbank High School’s representative to the Northern Lakes Region.
