School Board and City Council Seats Open

If you have always wanted to serve on the Milbank School Board or the Milbank City Council, get your petition in soon. Petitions must be filed by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 12. A Tuesday, June 20, election date has been set.

Three four-year terms will expire on the Milbank City Council. Open positions are currently held by: Joel Foster, Ward 1; James Johnson, Ward 2; and Mike Hanson, Ward 3. Petitions are available at the Milbank City Office at the Milbank Visitor Center.

Milt Stengel’s three-year term will also expire on the Milbank School District Board of Education. School board petitions are available at the Milbank School District’s central office.
