A three-part Lunch and Learn series entitled “Bring Your Dream” begins this month. The event is sponsored by the Grant County Development Corporation and the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce.
“The series is for people wanting to start a business, and for those who own a business and would like to improve their ownership and managerial skills,” said GCDC Executive Director, Bobbie Bohlen. “I often get inquiries from people wanting to start a business, so these events will help people understand the process required to access funds through our revolving loan fund program.”
The first session in the series focuses on business plans. It takes place Tuesday, May 23, at 11:30 a.m. at the Valley Queen Training Center at 106 S. Main Street in Milbank.
The second part in the series reviews income and expenses and is Tuesday, June 20, at 11:30 a.m. The site is yet to be determined.
The final session of the series helps participants connect to a variety of resources. It is Tuesday, July 18, at 11:30 a.m. at the old Seehafer Hardware building at 219 S. Main Street in Milbank. “Business is happening differently for different people,” added Eischens. “We hope this will stimulate the growth of small businesses in Milbank.”
Cost for chamber members is $10 per session or $25 for all three. Non-chamber members pay $15 per session or $35 for all three. RSVP to Chelcie Eischens at the chamber office at 605-432-6656 or to Bohlen at the GCDC office at 605-438-4232.
