Three youth bowlers, representing Milbank and Top Hat Lanes, captured state titles at the 2017 South Dakota USBC youth bowling championship in Mitchell. Stevie Ash and Zayne Widener won the doubles 200 to 249 competition, and Aimee Thyne won the top honor in the 500 tournament. Thirty-eight youth from the Milbank area competed in the state event.

“It was fun watching these kids bowl well and earn a state title,” stated youth coach Scott Hoeke. “I think all these kids represented Milbank and Top Hat Lanes with great pride.”
