The Milbank Firechiefs amateur baseball team lost their opening game of the season May 19, in Aurora. They fell 1-0. The Firechiefs travel to Clark on Sunday for a 4 p.m. game.

At Aurora, Milbank had four hits and four errors, but remained scoreless for nine innings. Aurora plated just one run in the fourth inning.They had two hits and one error.

Taylor Boerger led the way for the Chiefs with two hits and one stolen base. Jacob Jackson hit a double, and Lance Frogner contributed one hit and one walk. Ryan Conrad, Jesse Krause, and Brady Krause each had a walk, and Conrad and B. Krause earned a stolen base.

Boerger was credited with the loss for Milbank. He struck out 13 batters and allowed two hits, one run, and five walks.

The Firechiefs will travel to Clark Sunday for a 4 p.m. contest.
