McKenzie (Krakow) Johnson is the new manager at Big Stone Therapies. Johnson, a 2010 graduate of Grant-Deuel High School, obtained her physical therapy assistant degree from Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown in 2012. She was employed for four years at the Sisseton clinic as a PTA and site coordinator. She transferred to the Milbank clinic in August 2016. Johnson replaces Pam Neugebauer, who was promoted to the regional director position.

“Right now, I’m just familiarizing myself with the position and getting my feet underneath me,” said McKenzie. “PTAs are typically not given a manager position, so I am honored. We have a lot of highly educated and qualified people on our staff, and they are so easy to work with. I’m really looking forward to working in this capacity.”

Johnson is taking on new management duties, but will continue to work with patients. “I don’t want to ever miss out on contact with the patients,” she said with a smile.”

Tayla Schulte

Tayla Schulte will take over Johnson’s duties of site coordinator. “I have always had a longing to come back to my hometown,” said Schulte. “Accepting this position in Milbank is such a pleasure. I am looking forward to working with familiar people.” Schulte is a 2013 graduate of Milbank High School, and a 2016 graduate of LATI where she also obtained her physical therapy assistant degree.

Big Stone Therapies is located in the new Milbank Area Healthcare Campus. “We are contracted with Avera and are grateful to be in this new facility,” said Johnson. “It is a pleasure to work for this company with its excellent support team and values of faith, family, fairness, and fun.”
