Claire Mischel Wins Dockter Award

The Grant County 4-H Horse Show was held June 28, at the 4-H Grounds in Milbank. Riders receiving top honors in horse showmanship include: Champion Senior Showman, Claire Mischel; Reserve Junior Showman, Cassidy Schwagel; Champion Junior Showman, Marion Mischel; and Beginner Showman, Brook Schwagel.

Claire Mischel also won the Arlene Dockter Memorial Award. “This award is given to the top Senior Stock Seat participant for showcasing superior horsemanship,” said Sara Koepke, Grant County 4-H Youth Educator. These 4-H youth are eligible to compete at the South Dakota State 4-H Horse Show in Huron, July 17-19.
