The Milbank Area Bulldogs had a solid week of practice in preparation for Friday night’s (September 15) game against Northeast Conference rival, Aberdeen Roncalli. Roncalli has a new head coach, Billy Young, but Bulldog Head Coach Jeremy Tostenson says his team needs to be prepared for the Cavaliers. “They are still Roncalli. They continue to have solid athletes.”
Roncalli sits at 3-1 at the midway mark this season. The Cavs defeated Groton Area (21-0), Redfield-Doland (46-0), and Mobridge-Pollock (19-18). Roncalli’s lone loss came at the hands of Canton. Canton defeated them 38-0.
Milbank Area will be keying on their junior quarterback, Brady Morgan, to beat Roncalli. A “W” would take the Bulldogs one step closer to their season goal – to make the playoffs.
“We are going to focus on our run game,” said Coach T. “We need to win the turnover battle and our defense needs to do their job.”
Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Swisher Field in Aberdeen. Watch the Valley Express Sports on Twitter for live updates during the game.
