MHS Crowns Jonny Ash and Katie Vander Wal Homecoming Royalty

The Milbank High School Homecoming Coronation was held in front of a packed house this evening, September 25. The ceremony culminated with the crowning of Queen Katie Vander Wal, daughter of Dawn and Paul Vander Wal, and King Jonny Ash, son of Kristen Ash and Craig Ash. The pair will reign over the Homecoming festivities this week. Nate Bien, the MHS 2016 King, crowned the royalty.

“Superheros” was the theme for Homecoming 2017,and the springboard for this evening’s entertainment. The Seniors chose “SpongeBob”, the Juniors chose “Batman”, the Sophomores selected “Superman”, and the Freshmen selected “Spiderman” to star in their skits. The Juniors were declared the winners of the skit competition.

The evening concluded with the annual hot dog feed and the burning of the “M”.
