Christian Service Council to Host Food Giveaway on October 18

The Grant County Christian Service Council partners with Feeding South Dakota for another free food giveaway on Wednesday, October 18. The event runs from 4:30 to 6 p.m. (or until the food runs out) at the Exhibit Building at the Grant County 4-H Fairgrounds.

“This food giveaway is for families in the Milbank area in need of food,” stated organizer LeAnn Kuper. “There are no income restrictions.” Feeding South Dakota brings a truck filled with frozen meats, dairy products, canned and boxed goods, bread and bakery items, and fresh produce.

The doors open at 3:30 p.m. and two lines provide faster service. “Please bring your own recyclable grocery bags, if possible,” said Kuper. Parking is available in the Flynn Trail Parking area or in the parking lot of the American Lutheran Church. Only handicapped parking is allowed on the 4-H grounds.
