A highly anticipated part of the Snow Queen Festival is the announcement of the Mystery Snowman. Daily clues were given on The Valley Express in the days prior to the Festival which revealed pieces of information leading readers closer to the identity of the Snowman. Milbank Police Chief Boyd VanVooren was revealed as this year’s Mystery Snowman.
Chelcie Eischens of Milbank was the first to correctly identify the Mystery Snowman and wins two tickets to Shania Twain. Eischens submitted her guess on Thursday night after the reveal of 9 clues and 214 guesses from the community. In the end, more than 250 guesses were submitted on The Valley Express, 15 of which correctly identified VanVooren.
